First Federal Bank of Kansas City

UI/UX design for a website update.

Idea

First Federal Bank of Kansas City challenges themselves and others to reach a place of financial well-being. Their old website was dated, disorganized, and did not tell their story.

By December 2017, we launched a fully redesigned website that was modern, ADA compliant, and fully responsive.

My role in this project was to work with UX on wireframes and then concept a direction for the website. My concept was focused on large copy, icons, and colorful modals to showcase banking to be modern and easy to digest. We had two design directions that we presented to the client and my design was the one that was implemented. I then moved into page design as well as helping create guidelines around stock photography and found images for the website since they did not have the budget for a photoshoot. Other contributions to this project included transferring pages into the new content management system, and helping to create a custom icon set built on a 100px grid for the site.
